Your mission

As the Senior Operations Manager in Japan, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to enhance the EV charging experience. This pivotal role places you in charge of our operations team, where you will drive strategic initiatives that shape the integration and accessibility of EV charging services. Your leadership will not only influence our trajectory in Japan but also fortify our contributions to the global sustainability agenda, in collaboration with esteemed partners like BMW and Mercedes Benz. You will report directly to the Regional Leader for Japan, highlighting the strategic importance of your role in our regional and global framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic OEM Collaboration: Lead the charge in integrating our state-of-the-art public charging solutions into the electric vehicles of prestigious OEMs such as BMW and Mercedes Benz, enhancing the EV user experience through innovation and sustainability.
  • Service Excellence and Innovation: Oversee the introduction and approval of new service brands, ensuring seamless collaboration with IT, CPOs, and roaming platforms, and spearheading the development of groundbreaking functionalities.
  • Operational Leadership: Refine operational processes and structures in concert with Market and Product Managers, emphasizing efficiency and the reliability of services in alignment with the high standards of our OEM partners.
  • Senior Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the principal liaison for high-profile OEM and CPO representatives in Japan, leveraging these strategic relationships to advance our mission and service offerings.

Your profile

  • Proven leadership in B2C business environments, ideally within the automotive industry or related sectors, with a track record of working alongside prominent brands like BMW and Mercedes Benz.
  • A visionary with an analytical approach, capable of navigating complex challenges and spearheading strategic solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing teams, driving projects to fruition in Japan’s dynamic market.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the proficiency to engage with and influence diverse stakeholders across cultural boundaries.
  • Fluent in Japanese and English, reflecting our global vision and local operational excellence.
  • Experience in electric car industry is a heavy plus.
  • IT skills in APIs, Restful Interfaces, SQL, XML and general understanding of current IT Architecture is a plus
